Subtle black, caramel and cream flecks (neps) have been spun in to produce a textured, tweed-like yarn. When worked up into a project, the yarn produces a rustic look due to the speckles of neutral colours provided by the tweedy neps. Nylon is included with the neps so that the yarn is as versatile and durable. It can be used for sweaters, scarves, shawls as well as more hard wearing items such as socks and gloves. The main factor determining the quality of merino wool is its softness which depends upon the fineness of the fibers.  Extrafine merinois used which is some of the finest commercially available. This results in a supersoft yarn that feels gentle against the skin.
